Vikki grew up in central Kansas, attended Kansas State University, and graduated with a degree in speech pathology and audiology. She was a speech clinician in the Des Moines school system before marrying Bob and moving to Germany. After a year and a half she and her husband returned from Germany to live in Kansas City. A year later they began their family. Bob and Vikki have a daughter, Elisa, a son-in-law, Jeff, and a son, Dean. Elisa and Jeff live in St. Louis while Dean is still single and owns his own business in Overland Park, Kansas.Upon moving from Kansas City to St. Joseph, Vikki was invited by a neighborhood friend to a Bible Study where she became aware of the fact that Jesus died on the cross as payment for her sins. She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and her life purpose immediately changed. God gave her a love for His Word; she began studying and teaching the Scriptures and remains a student of God’s Word today.
Although Vikki was a “stay at home” mom while her children were growing up, she was active in the church and the community. She is one of the original founders of the Cotillion for Achievement in St. Joseph and she remains as active as possible in the organization. She taught the Scriptures to women and she was active in women’s ministry. God directed Vikki to attend seminary once her children were nearly out of the home. She graduated with a M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary in 1999; HeartHope Biblical Counseling Center is the result of God’s will.
Vikki enjoys spending time with her family and in her home. She teaches etiquette to groups when invited to do so; she enjoys needlepoint, fine music, and reading. She loves working with people and serving God as a biblical counselor at Frederick Boulevard.
