Community Groups

We value growing together in small groups at Frederick Boulevard. Although we love our large group worship experiences, and believe them to be very important, we are convinced that discipleship, accountability and fellowship occur best when they are experienced in a smaller group setting. We offer a large number of smaller groups that we refer to as Community Groups. We believe these small group settings serve as small pockets of community all over our church. While our church can feel a little bit larger for many people, these Community Groups are an incredible opportunity to be intimately connected with a small group of other people, learning to be like Jesus and living life together. These groups meet at various times and locations to serve you more effectively. Some meet on Sunday mornings on campus, and many meet in homes off campus.

The Gospel Project

What is the Gospel Project?

  • A Christ-centered curriculum that examines the grand narrative of Scripture and how the gospel transforms the lives of those it touches.
  • Provides a three-year study plan.
  • Immerses participants in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to missions from Genesis to Revelation.
  • Separate study plans for kids, students, and adults ensures the proper focus and depth.
  • Design to unify an entire church under a singl Christ-centered curriculum.

Adult Community Groups

Student Community Groups

Christ::Each Other::Serving

Those four words describe what we want for every student who attends a Community Group. Our aim is that students will experience the love of God through Jesus, our Savior and will be loved by godly adults. Our adult volunteers make it their job to know and care for their student.

Bible Study in Community Groups

Bible study is what we do! In fact, our adults build relationships with students because we believe that God’s Word is best taught in the context of relationships. Each age group and gender has a prayerfully selected adult volunteer who has a growing relationship with Christ. They help guide students in their own walk of faith.

Children Community Groups

Kid’s Life Department

During the Sunday 8:30 Worship Service and 9:00 am Community Group time we offer childcare for babies, ones and two’s; which is basically how our three nursery rooms are divided. We have wonderful volunteers to look after your little ones while you are visiting a Community Group or Church Worship service! Please alert our desk worker of any allergies or special instructions that will help in the care of your child. Please be sure to mark your diaper bags, pacifiers, bottles, sippy cups, etc. Sharpies and labels are provided at the nursery desk! Should you choose to keep your child with you during the Worship Service, there is a cry room located in the northern section of the Worship Center if the need arises. There are rocking chairs, a few toys, and the room is dimly lit, with a large one way window so you may still see and hear the Worship Service! For children ages 3 years through 6th grade we offer age appropriate curriculum and classes for each age/grade. Their primary Sunday school class is at 9:00 am. The 3 year olds through 2nd grade have class in the Preschool area which is located in the South wing of the main building. There will be a desk worker to greet you as you approach this area, to help your children settle into the appropriate class. If you have children in 3rd through 6th grades, their classes will be in the main hallway by the nurseries.

Our 5th and 6th grades are combined classes, but split by gender. The boys have a male teacher, and the girls have a female teacher, which seems to work out beautifully for our preteens!

Sundays, at 10:00 am we offer full nurseries for babies through two’s; and we would like to welcome all preschool, Kindergarten and first graders to Kids’ Worship. Kids’ Worship is held in the preschool area
in the South Wing. Your child will start out with a large group of children who have the opportunity to Worship Kid’s Style! They will participate in fun Worship songs designed just for kids, take up an offering, pray, and experience Corporate Worship. In order to communicate on their level, we break off into classes with age appropriate curriculum that is different from what is used in the 9:00 hour. After their class time, the children return to their large group and remain there until “Big” church for adults commences.

Again, we are so excited you have chosen to meet with us today! If you have any questions, there are many capable volunteers to assist you, but feel free to ask for Chris Ellis, our Children’s Director, if you have additional needs or concerns! Thank you for coming, we are blessed to have you attend, and it is our prayer that you have felt welcomed and cared for, and that you will visit again very soon!

See You Sunday!
