Cody Hinton, Ministry Intern

Our Pastoral Residency program is an internship which allows students the opportunity to serve alongside our pastoral staff and gain both experience and academic credit. Much like a medical residency, this program allows our residents the opportunity to gain much needed hands on experience to supplement the academic education they receive in bible college and/or seminary.

Cody was born in Colorado, lived for 12 years in Nebraska and spent his Junior and Senior High years in Wyoming. He and his wife met at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. They then spent two years in Montana where he attended Yellowstone Baptist Bible College. Cody served in the Junior High youth ministry at Harvest Church in Billings, Montana. He has also served for 4 years as youth pastor at First Grace Baptist Church in Sheffield, Iowa. He graduated from Midwestern Theological Seminary, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Pastoral Ministry. As a Pastoral Resident Cody is in charge of the media for the church. He also served on the Interim Youth Ministry Team where he had the privilege of teaching during the Wednesday night youth gatherings. Cody is the proud husband to Kim. They have two children, Michaela who is 3, and Elijah who is 1.
